(don't worry jamie, there will be a post for you in the future. i technically wasn't close with you at all until about the fourth grade, even though i've known you both for approximately equal amounts of time)
rumor has it that there is an existing photograph of the two of us chillin' on a blanket as toddlers. i think that's about as early as two unrelated people can be friends. my dear liza, i'm pretty sure you were my first friend and you are definitely the only one i remember from my early childhood (my memory is getting foggy in my old age). with the exception of a few short periods of time, we have been best friends for somewhere in the neighborhood of eighteen years. though our differences are many and our distance is great, i know that you are one person in my life that i can count on to be constant, real and above all, there. your influence on my life has been beyond what you will ever know and i am certain that i would be a completely different person without it.
we've shared crushes.
we've shared root beer barrels.
we've shared tears.
and we've definitely shared laughter.
we will be best friends forever whether you like it or not. the three of us will be grannies, livin' it up and wreaking havoc on the old folks' home of our choice. so get ready, you'll be seeing a lot of me for the rest of your life.
